Combat AMS by pre-acclimatizing at Home!

The debilitating symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) will plague about 80% of mountaineers and tourists traveling above 13,000ft/4,000m.  When AMS strikes, the trip may be a failure and the enjoyment lost.

It is common knowledge that AMS symptoms can be drastically reduced through pre-acclimatization.  Traditionally, acclimatization has required devotion of several weeks spent at increasingly higher altitudes. What is Hypoxic Training?

Hypoxic training, sometimes called Altitude Training, involves exercising in, living in or otherwise breathing oxygen reduced air for the purpose of improved athletic performance and physical wellness.
